Why Electrical Guard Insurance exists
Most agencies treat an electrical contractor like any other small business — a generic policy, a generic quote, and no one who has read the completed-operations tail on a panel you finished last spring or the arc-flash exposure a crew carries onto every energized job. We built Electrical Guard Insurance on the opposite idea: pick one class, learn it deeply, and place it with carriers that actually want the work. A connection or circuit that starts a fire weeks or months after the job is signed off, a crew working live gear, and the copper and materials staged in a shop are exposures a specialist underwrites on purpose, not surprises an owner discovers during a claim.
That focus is the whole value. We know to ask whether you run residential service and remodel, commercial and industrial systems, or power-line and utility work; whether your crews work energized; whether you carry workers compensation or face the non-subscriber decision a Texas electrical contractor has to make; and what the general contractors, developers, and utilities you serve demand in additional-insured, wrap-up, and umbrella-limit terms — before we quote, not after a certificate request lands on your desk. We place coverage through a 25-market specialty panel and read each account to the real operation.
Who we are
Electrical Guard Insurance is led by its founders, Nate Jones and Kami Jones.
Nate Jones, CPCU
Founder
Nate Jones considers himself to be the “insurance nerd” of our company. He is a graduate of Indiana State University where he majored in Insurance & Risk Management. Before starting Wexford Insurance, Nate Jones worked on numerous sides of the insurance industry as an Underwriting Manager and Risk Management Consultant. He holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation, and he reviews every Electrical Guard Insurance submission personally.
Kami Jones
Co-Founder
Kami Jones is by far the most detailed and creative person at our company. Before starting Wexford Insurance, Kami Jones worked as a Client Service Manager in the industry.
Part of the Wexford family
Electrical Guard Insurance is a DBA of Wexford Insurance, LLC (NPN 19887690), an independent agency based in Greenwood, IN. Wexford builds specialty insurance brands, each dedicated to a single trade — so the coverage, the underwriting, and the voice all fit one kind of business. You can see the broader agency at WexfordIns.com, and our sibling brand at Plumbing Guard Insurance.
Work with a team that writes your class
If you run an electrical business, start with a quote or get in touch — you will be talking with people who know the difference between a residential service book, a commercial and industrial systems operation, and a power-line contractor, and who write the coverage to match.
